This Breckenridge neighborhood offered a great chance for the Colorado State Forest Service to showcase wildfire mitigation efforts in the Blue River Valley.
We enlisted the help of drone pilots at the local Red, White and Blue Fire Department to gather the footage. I met them and the CSFS forester leading the project on this hillside below Peak 10 for an afternoon shoot. It turned into a great collaboration because everyone brought different knowledge and skills to the field and I was able to get footage that not only conveyed my needs for communications pieces, but that also highlighted key areas of the project and the neighborhoods surrounding it. This is a quick social post highlighting the project, but we’re also using this footage in other projects still in progress to tell this mitigation success story to a variety of audiences, from local residents to state legislators. I love being able to get mileage out of content and reshape a story to connect with more than one audience.
